Gastown

Vancouver’s uniqueness is in its variety. The City is far from vast or sprawling, but it does have far more than its share of spectacular sceneries and vibrant neighborhoods. We’ll provide disposable cameras so you can capture your own photos of all the favorite destinations.

Your tour begins with the magnificent Stanley Park.  Over 1,000 acres in size, Stanley Park is the largest park within a city in North America and a Vancouver landmark. The coach will then wind its way past English Bay and False Creek before reaching Queen Elizabeth Park and the highest point of the city.  Take a chance to stroll along the gardens and snap breathtaking panoramic view of the city.

Afterwards you will pass along the busy streets of colourful Chinatown, the second largest Chinatown in North America. Our final visit is Gastown, the oldest area of Vancouver. There, you may capture the famous steam clock and stroll the numerous art galleries and souvenirs shops.

You will start your cultural encounter with a visit of the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Classical Chinese Garden, the first classical garden of the Ming Dynasty ever built outside China.  The laborious project took six years of planning and four years of building as no modern equipment was used. Whale-watching Safari Tour

Every year between May and October, Orca whales pursue migrating salmon in the Georgia Strait, the 30-mile wide channel that separates the mainland from Vancouver Island.

A 40-minute ride takes you to Steveston, a fishing community located at the mouth of the Fraser River. There, you embark a high-speed vessel for a half-day safari guided by trained naturalist. A panorama of scenic beauty is about to unfold as your ride through the Fraser River, Gulf Islands, and Strait of Georgia while searching for whales, dolphins, porpoises, seals, sea lions, eagles, and a variety of seabirds.

 

Cancellation Policy

Registration and Refund deadline for all Optional Tours & Activities is Friday, 23 July 2010. There will be a $35 service fee per tour cancelled. After Friday, 23 July 2010, registration will be taken on site at the tour registration desk based on availability.
